The experience
How do you see the Amalfi Coast without fighting crowds on a tour bus? You rent the boat. The Jeanneau Leader departs in the morning from whichever port works for you (Amalfi, Praiano, Positano, Minori or Maiori), and the skipper takes you where you want to go. The route traces the cliffs and coves that make this coastline famous: you'll pass the Borgo dei Pescatori at Marina di Conca, the Furore Fjord, and the beaches around Praiano, each one a stop only if you choose it.
The boat itself changes what the day feels like. You have a cabin to retreat into, a shower to rinse off salt water, a refrigerator stocked with soft drinks and a bottle of prosecco, and towels waiting. The skipper handles the navigation and the engine. You handle the itinerary. Some travelers stop at the Emerald Grotto (entry ticket separate) to see the stalactites and the water's strange green light. Others swim at Li Galli, the islets off Positano where the water is clear enough to see the bottom. You can anchor near Positano's Marina Grande or eat lunch at a seaside restaurant in one of the coves. The boat can wait while you do.
Capri fills the second half of the day. From the water you see the White Grotto, the Faraglioni rocks, Villa Malaparte perched on its narrow promontory, and the Green Cave. If you want to land and walk the island, there's a disembarkation fee. If you'd rather stay on the boat and watch the coastline pass, that's the choice too. The Blue Grotto entrance is not included in the tour price, and neither is the Emerald Grotto, so you decide which grottoes are worth the extra ticket.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English and Italian.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24h before the start.
Can I pick which port to leave from on the Amalfi Coast?
Yes. You choose your departure port from Amalfi, Praiano, Positano, Minori or Maiori, all picturesque towns along the coast where the boat is based.
What happens at Li Galli? Can I swim there?
Li Galli is a group of islets off Positano where the water is clear and calm enough to immerse yourself. You can swim in the bay and see the three small islands (the Long Rooster, the Rotunda and the Castelluccia) from the water.
Do I have to visit the Blue Grotto and Emerald Grotto, or are they optional?
Both grottoes are optional stops at your discretion, and entry tickets to either one are not included in the tour price, so you pay separately if you want to go inside.

If I want to land on Capri and walk around, is there an extra fee?
Yes, there is a disembarkation fee if you want to get off the boat and explore the island. You can also stay on the water and see the Faraglioni, White Grotto and other sights from the boat.
