The experience

The boat leaves Amalfi's port and heads south along cliffs that drop straight into water. You're not locked into a fixed itinerary: the skipper takes you where you want to go. That means you can linger in the Emerald Grotto if the stalactites and the colored water hold you, skip it entirely if you'd rather spend the time swimming, or anchor off Li Galli's islets to snorkel in water so clear the rocky outcrops below are visible from the surface. Furore Fjord (a hidden beach carved into the coast), and the fishing villages of Praiano are stops you can make or pass, depending on what the group wants that day.

If you book the Capri extension, the boat circles the island so you see the White Grotto, Villa Malaparte perched on its narrow rock, and the Faraglioni stacks without leaving the water. The Green Cave and the Blue Grotto are visible from the boat. Entry to either costs extra and is your choice. Marina Piccola's bay is deep enough to dive into if you want to swim there. The skipper speaks English or Italian and navigates the route. Snorkeling gear, towels, and alcohol-free drinks are on board. Lunch happens at a waterfront restaurant in one of the coves if you ask for it. The meal itself is separate.

Seven hours gives you real time at each stop instead of a rushed photo and a departure. The boat holds a private group, so no strangers are sharing the day. If you choose only the Amalfi Coast without Capri, the tour stays closer to home and trades the island's famous sights for more time in the smaller coves and grottoes along the main coast.

What’s included

  • Skipper and boat for the full seven hours.
  • snorkeling equipment and towels.
  • alcohol-free drinks throughout the day.
  • fuel and all navigation.

Is this one for you?Book the Amalfi Coast option if you want to maximize time in the smaller grottoes and coves without the travel time to Capri. Choose the Capri extension if the island's famous sights (the Faraglioni, White Grotto, and the chance to see the Blue Grotto) are what drew you to the coast in the first place.

Top questions

What languages is the guide in?

Live guide in English and Italian.

What happens if it rains?

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24h before the start.

What's the difference between the Amalfi Coast tour and the one that includes Capri?

The Amalfi Coast tour stays along the main coastline (Emerald Grotto, Furore Fjord, Praiano, Li Galli), and gives more time to swim and explore each spot. The Capri option adds the island's landmarks: the White Grotto, Faraglioni, and the chance to see the Blue Grotto and Green Cave from the boat, though entry to either grotto costs extra and is optional.

Can we stop for lunch during the tour?

Yes, the skipper can arrange a stop at a waterfront restaurant in one of the coves or small villages along the route. You request it when you book or during the day, and you pay for the meal separately.

What happens if we want to visit the Blue Grotto or Emerald Grotto?

Both grottoes are optional stops you can choose during the tour. Entry tickets to either one are not included in the tour price and are paid separately if you decide to go inside.

Is snorkeling gear provided, and where do we swim?

Snorkeling equipment and towels are included. You can swim at Li Galli's islets, Marina Piccola near Capri, or any of the smaller beaches and coves the skipper takes you to. The choice is yours based on water conditions and what the group wants.

How many people can fit on the boat?

The tour is private, meaning your group books the entire boat. The skipper and crew are included. The exact capacity depends on your party size, which you specify when booking.
