The experience
The tour leaves Praiano and sails along the Amalfi Coast toward Capri, passing through the Punta Campanella marine protected area where the water and rock formations shift as you move south. The boat stops first at the White Grotto, where pure white limestone walls frame the entrance and sunlight reflects off crystal-clear water. From there you move to the Natural Arch, a collapsed grotto from the Paleolithic age visible from the water, then to the four Faraglioni rocks (Saetta, Monacone, Stella, and Scopolo) the most photographed formation on the island. Time here is built in for photos and swimming.
Next is the Green Grotto, where the water glows emerald and you can swim inside among stalactites and stalagmites. The boat then heads to Marina Piccola, Capri's most exclusive anchorage, where you have three hours ashore: time to eat lunch at a waterfront restaurant with views of the Faraglioni, walk through Capri's inland villages, or simply rest. On the return to Praiano, the route includes a stop at Li Galli, the three-island archipelago off Positano known in legend as the Mermaids' Islands, for a final swim in clear water. The day ends with prosecco or another drink as the boat heads back to port.
The boat itself is a traditional wooden Gozzo, newly built, 26 feet long, with a canopy for shade on the aft deck, a separate toilet, and a cooler stocked throughout the day. The skipper adjusts the itinerary based on weather and sea conditions. The Blue Grotto, for instance, is only accessible in calm seas and without long queues, so it's offered on request and requires a separate ticket purchased on-site. This is a private tour, so only your group is aboard, and the guide speaks English, Spanish, or Italian depending on your preference.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English, Spanish and Italian.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24h before the start.
Can we visit the Blue Grotto on this tour?
The Blue Grotto is available on request, but it requires a separate ticket purchased at the site and is only accessible when seas are calm and boat queues are short. The skipper will assess conditions on the day and offer it if feasible.
How much time do we get to explore Capri itself?
You have three hours in Marina Piccola, the most exclusive part of Capri. That time covers lunch at a waterfront restaurant, exploring Capri's inland villages, or both depending on your pace.
What's included to eat and drink during the day?
The boat carries prosecco, beer, limoncello, Aperol Spritz, bottled water, cola, lemon soda, and dry snacks like chips, peanuts, and olives throughout the day. Lunch at Marina Piccola is your own cost at a typical restaurant with waterfront seating.
Is the itinerary fixed or can the skipper change it?
The itinerary is flexible. The skipper adjusts stops and timing based on weather, sea conditions, and your group's preferences, so the day can shift if needed, for example, if the Blue Grotto isn't accessible or if you want more time at one stop.
What's the boat like for comfort on an eight-hour day?
The boat is a 26-foot traditional Gozzo built in 2023 or 2025, with a canopy for shade on the aft deck, a separate toilet, and coolers to keep drinks cold. It holds up to six passengers, so there's room to move around and find a comfortable spot.
