The experience
You board a new Gozzo boat (26 feet, built in 2023 or 2025) from Praiano for a 7 to 8 hour tour that follows the coastline west toward Positano and beyond. The route passes old stone towers built in the Middle Ages, colorful fishing villages clinging to the cliffs, and natural sea caves carved into the rock. A guide in your chosen language narrates the sights and manages the stops, so you focus on the view instead of navigation.
Swimming and snorkeling happen at two or three quiet spots along the coast where the water stays clear and shallow enough to see the seabed. Snorkeling equipment is provided, and a canopy on the boat's aft deck offers shade between stops. The Emerald Grotto (a sea cave where sunlight filters through underwater openings and tints the water turquoise) is a stop on request, though rough seas or high swell can make entry impossible. The Pandora Cave near Maiori is another option if conditions suit. You can also request a visit to Positano's town center to walk its narrow streets and see the Cathedral of Amalfi, or stop at Conca dei Marini for lunch at a waterfront restaurant (meal cost separate).
The boat carries prosecco, beer, limoncello and Aperol Spritz in a cooler, plus soft drinks and dry snacks. A separate toilet and towel for each person are standard. Because the group stays under six people, the pace and stops bend to what your group wants to do: a flexible day rather than a fixed schedule.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English, Spanish and Italian.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24h before the start.
Can we visit Positano town if we book this tour?
Positano town center is available on request. You can ask the guide to include it when you book. The town sits high on the cliffs, and a visit means time ashore to walk the characteristic narrow streets lined with shops and to see the Cathedral of St. Andrew among the colorful houses.
What is the Emerald Grotto and can we go inside?
The Emerald Grotto is a sea cave discovered in 1932 where sunlight filters through underwater openings and turns the water a bright turquoise color, casting emerald reflections on the cave walls. Entry is on request, but strong wind and high swell can make it inaccessible. The guide will know on the day whether conditions allow a visit.
Where do we swim and snorkel on this tour?
You stop at two or three quiet beaches and coves along the coast where the water is clear and shallow. The Pandora Cave near Maiori is one option for snorkeling inside a natural grotto. Tordigliano beach is another peaceful spot. Snorkeling equipment is provided for each person.
Is lunch included in the tour price?
Lunch is not included, but you can stop at a waterfront restaurant in Conca dei Marini or another beach town and order a meal at your own cost. Prosecco, beer, limoncello, soft drinks and dry snacks are provided on the boat.
How many people can fit on the boat?
The boat holds a maximum of six passengers, so your group travels privately without other tourists joining. The guide speaks English, Spanish or Italian depending on your preference.
