The experience

Giovanni drives the boat and knows the Amalfi Coast well enough to steer past the usual stops. The day unfolds along the water: you'll anchor at Marina di Praia, where the Arch of Lovers rises above the beach and the Pirate's Cave sits just offshore, reachable by swimming, and afterward you can sip a spritz and eat fresh fruit on deck. The Fjord of Furore comes next, a village carved into the rock face where a bridge overhead hosts an annual diving competition. Positano appears as a cluster of pastel houses climbing the cliff, and you can swim there or walk the town if you want to.

The route also passes Ravello from the water and the Marmorata waterfall, where you can swim in cold, clear water. Near Maiori sits the Pandora Cave, the largest on the coast, with stalactites and red coral visible from inside the water. If you ask, Giovanni can arrange entry to the Emerald Grotto for €7 per person, a separate ticket. Snorkeling gear is on board, along with a towel, and the boat carries water, Coca-Cola, beer, Spritz and limoncello.

The boat is private, so the timing is yours: you decide how long to linger at each stop and whether to visit Positano or skip it. Giovanni adjusts the route based on weather and what you want to see. Infants can come along (they sit on an adult's lap), and the pace suits all fitness levels.
