The experience
You board a 26-foot Gozzo boat in Praiano for a full day cruising the Amalfi Coast. The boat carries only your group, a maximum of six people, so the pace and stops are yours to shape. The morning unfolds along the coastline: you'll pass defensive towers built in the Middle Ages, hidden beaches tucked into the rock, and the Furore Fjord, a river inlet where fishermen's houses cling to the cliffs. The boat has a canopy for shade and a separate toilet. Bottled water, sodas and snacks stay cold in the onboard fridge.
Snorkeling happens at several stops. The Pandora Grotto, the largest cave on the coast, lets you swim and snorkel inside its blue water. The Emerald Grotto (discovered in 1932 by a local fisherman) gets its name from the way sunlight bounces off the rocky walls and turns the water shades of cobalt, light blue and emerald green. Accessibility depends on wind and swell conditions. Between swims you can visit Positano or Amalfi town if you want to walk the narrow streets and see the ancient cathedral, or skip the towns and stay on the water. A lunch break at a waterfront restaurant in Conca dei Marini gives you time to eat and watch the colorful houses stacked on the rocks across the bay.
The afternoon brings another snorkeling session in a cool spot before the boat returns to Praiano. Prosecco, beer, limoncello and Aperol Spritz are available throughout the day. A beach towel is provided for each person. The boat was built in 2023 or 2025, so the equipment is new.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English, Spanish and Italian.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24h before the start.
Can I snorkel if I've never done it before?
Yes. The tour includes several stops for snorkeling in calm, clear water, and the guide can show you how to use the equipment. The boat stays in shallow areas near the caves and beaches, so you can build confidence at your own pace.
What is the Emerald Grotto actually like when you get there?
The Emerald Grotto is a sea cave where sunlight entering through the water creates shifting reflections (cobalt blue, light blue and emerald green) across the rocky walls and the water itself. You swim and snorkel inside the cave. Access is not guaranteed if there is strong wind or high swell.
Will we have time to visit Positano or Amalfi town?
Both towns are optional stops on the itinerary. You can ask the guide to include one or skip them entirely to spend more time snorkeling and swimming. The choice is yours.
Is lunch included in the price?
Lunch is not included, but the boat stops at a waterfront restaurant in Conca dei Marini where you can order and eat. Prosecco, beer, limoncello, Aperol Spritz, water, sodas and snacks are provided on the boat.
How many people will be on the boat?
This is a private tour for your group only, with a maximum of six passengers. No other groups join you.
What should I bring?
Bring a copy of the main traveler's passport, swimwear and sunscreen. Beach towels are provided. The boat has shade and a toilet onboard.
