The experience
Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak sits on Jeju's eastern shore as a massive rock that erupted from the sea. A UNESCO natural heritage site you'll reach by mid-morning. Sangumburi Crater, the only submerged volcano on the island, drops 100 to 146 meters deep with a circumference of over 2 kilometers. You climb the silver grass road to see down into it and spot the smaller oreums (parasitic cones) scattered around. The Jeju Stone Culture Park, built over seven years and opened in 2006, shows the island's stone traditions in one place: dolhareubang guardian figures, traditional stone tools, and sculptures woven from local folklore. Walking the park's paths takes time. The operator recommends a leisurely pace.
The Haenyeo Museum opens a window into the lives of Jeju's female divers, who collected shellfish and seaweed by breath-hold diving and were recognized as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2016. You'll also walk forest trails: Andol Oreum's cedar and cypress groves where animals graze freely, or Saryeoni Forest Trail, a cedar-thick path used for film shoots and wedding photography. The coastal road between Woljeong-ri Beach and Seongsan offers time to photograph and sit at a café overlooking the emerald sea. Some cafes have chairs built for exactly that view. Lunch is arranged with you beforehand (usually within a kilometer of Seongsan Ilchulbong), and choices include soft tofu, Korean buffet or stir-fried pork.
The driver speaks simple English and holds a South Korean taxi license with transportation insurance included. Your vehicle is air-conditioned and sized to your group: a 4-person sedan, 7-person jumbo or 12-person minibus. Pickup happens at your hotel or accommodation in the morning, and drop-off at the same location ends the day. Note that the Haenyeo Museum and Stone Culture Park close every Monday, so plan accordingly.

Yes. Ticket types: Youth (13 to 18 years); Child (7 to 12 years); Infant (1 to 6 years): free.
What is Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak and why is it on this tour?
Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak is a massive volcanic rock that erupted from the sea on Jeju's eastern shore and holds UNESCO natural heritage status. It's the anchor stop on the tour's coastal route and gives you a chance to walk, photograph and see how the island's geology shaped its landscape.
Can I choose what I eat for lunch, or is it set?
Lunch is discussed with you before the tour starts, and the operator recommends restaurants and menus that match your choice, usually within a kilometer of Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. Options typically include soft tofu, Korean buffet or stir-fried pork.
What does the Haenyeo Museum show about these divers?
The Haenyeo Museum, opened in 2006, displays the homes, workplaces and daily lives of Jeju's female divers. Haenyeo collected shellfish and seaweed by diving without oxygen tanks and were recognized as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2016, making them central to Jeju's cultural identity.
How deep is Sangumburi Crater and what makes it unusual?
Sangumburi Crater drops 100 to 146 meters deep with an outer circumference of over 2 kilometers. It's the only submerged volcano on Jeju Island and one of only a few maars (explosion craters that don't accumulate water) in the world. Water flows through the basalt gravel instead of pooling.
What forest trails are included in the tour?
The itinerary includes walks through Andol Oreum's cedar and cypress forests where animals graze freely, and Saryeoni Forest Trail, a thick cedar path used for film shoots. Both offer quiet time to photograph and walk at your own pace without crowds.

Hotel or accommodation pickup is included. The tour runs for a full day. Contact the operator for the specific start time, which depends on your location and the option you choose (tours range from 1 to 12 travelers).
