The experience

You arrive in Jeju with a free afternoon or a full day and no rental car. A private charter means the driver-guide picks you up from your Jeju City location, and the nine hours are yours alone: no other passengers, no fixed itinerary, no rushing through stops that don't interest you. The operator provides sample routes: the East Coast loops through Seongsan Ilchulbong (a UNESCO site), folk villages and a sea cave; the South Coast takes in Hallasan Mountain, a waterfall, coastal rock formations and a tea museum; the Southwest route combines mountain views with cliffs and temple grounds. You can mix stops from different regions or ask the guide for recommendations based on what you want to see.

The vehicle is modern and air-conditioned, with parking fees covered. Your guide speaks English or Chinese and knows the island well enough to answer questions and suggest timing. Lunch is not included, so you choose where to eat and what (a local restaurant, a cafe, a picnic spot) without the tour dictating the meal. If you want to pick up someone outside Jeju City or combine both the East and West coasts in one day, a flat 50,000 KRW surcharge applies to each of those changes.
