Private Jeju Tour: Customize Your Day with Local Guide
One region, your route: east coast caves and markets, west coast beaches and tea fields, or south cliffs and waterfalls
A private Jeju day tour with a local guide and driver who customizes the route based on which region you choose and how the weather looks that day. You pick east (Seongsan Sunrise Peak, Jeju Stone Park, Haenyeo Museum), west (Hyeopjae Beach, Handam Coastal Road, tea plantations), or south (Jeongbang Falls, Oedolgae, Jusangjelli Cliff), and the guide adapts the stops and timing to fit your interests. Vehicle, fuel, parking, and the driver's lunch are included. Entry fees to attractions run about 5–15 USD per site.

The experience
Jeju's distances between attractions are long enough that cramming all three regions into one day wastes hours on the road. This tour solves that by letting you commit to one region and move through it without backtracking. The guide, a local driver with years of experience, reads the weather and season to recommend the best route and timing. A detail that matters on an island where conditions shift fast and some sites close on specific days (Jeju Stone Park and the Haenyeo Museum shut Mondays, for instance, and get swapped for Seongeup Folk Village when that happens).
The east side strings together Seongsan Ilchulbong, Jeju Stone Park, Hamdeok Beach, the Jeju Haenyeo Museum, and Dongmun Market. Manjanggul Cave (a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site) joins the route when it's open. The west includes Handam Coastal Road, Hyeopjae Beach, Osulloc tea plantation and Hallim Park, and Sinchang wildmill coast. The south runs through Jeongbang Falls, Oedolgae rock formation, Jusangjelli Cliff, and the Eoseungsaengak Trail on Mount Halla's lower slopes. You decide which stops matter most, and the guide builds the day around them.
Pickup and drop-off happen at your Jeju accommodation. The vehicle size (regular taxi, jumbo taxi, minivan, or minibus) depends on your group, and fuel, parking, and the driver's meal are already factored into the price. If your preferred guide has another booking, a second local driver steps in. The whole day runs seven to eight hours.

Top questions
What's the difference between the east, west and south regions of Jeju for a one-day tour?
The east centers on volcanic peaks and cultural sites: Seongsan Ilchulbong sunrise peak, Jeju Stone Park's lava formations, the Haenyeo diving-women museum, and Dongmun Market. The west is beaches and coastal drives: Hyeopjae Beach, the scenic Handam Coastal Road, and Osulloc tea plantation overlooking the ocean. The south features waterfalls and cliffs: Jeongbang Falls, Oedolgae sea stack, and Jusangjelli columnar basalt cliffs. Each region takes a full day to explore without rushing.
Can I customize which sites we visit, or is the itinerary fixed?
The tour is fully customizable. You choose your region, then tell the guide which attractions matter most to you. The guide adapts the order and timing based on your interests, the weather that day, and how the season affects opening hours and conditions.
What happens if a site is closed when we arrive?
The guide knows the closure patterns, for example, Jeju Stone Park and the Haenyeo Museum close Mondays and get replaced by Seongeup Folk Village. Manjanggul Cave is currently closed for safety work through August 2025 and will be substituted with another site. The guide adjusts the route in advance so you don't lose time at the door.
Do I need to pay for entry to the attractions, or is that included?
Entry fees are separate and run about 5–15 USD per site, depending on which attractions you visit. The tour price covers the vehicle, driver, fuel, parking, and the driver's meal.
What vehicle will pick me up, and how many people can fit?
The vehicle depends on your group size: a regular taxi for one or two people, a jumbo taxi for three to four, a minivan for five to seven, or a minibus for larger groups. All vehicles include space for luggage, and fuel and parking are covered in the price.
