Step-by-step itinerary
Private yacht cruise around Capri
- Pick up at Capri Harbour
- Guided tour around Capri island
- Swim and snorkel stops
- Visit Blue Grotto and other sights
- Stop in Nerano for lunch or swim
- Return to Capri Harbour
The experience
You arrive at Capri Harbour and board a 50-foot private yacht. The boat circles the entire island, stopping where you want to swim and snorkel rather than following a fixed schedule. The water around Capri is clear enough to see the seafloor, and the named stops (Faraglioni Rocks, the Green Grotto, White Grotto, Punta Carena) are the formations and caves the island is known for. Blue Grotto requires a separate ticket if you want to enter it, but the boat passes the entrance and you can see it from the water.
Snorkel kit, towels, crispy snacks and beverages are on board throughout the day. The guide provides live commentary in English as you move around the island, explaining what you're looking at and where to swim. A stop in Nerano, the nearest village on the Amalfi Coast, breaks up the day. You can swim there or go ashore for lunch if you want (lunch is not included in the price, but the boat can arrange it on request). The whole experience runs eight hours, and because the stops are customizable, the pace is yours.
The boat returns to Capri Harbour at the end of the day. Cruise ship passengers need to provide their ship name, docking time and re-boarding time at booking so the return aligns with your departure.

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
Can I snorkel at every stop, or are some just for looking?
The yacht stops for swimming and snorkeling at multiple points around the island: Punta Carena, the Green Grotto, White Grotto, Marina Piccola and Faraglioni Rocks are all swimming stops. The stops themselves are customizable, so you decide where to get in the water and how long to stay.
What's the difference between the Blue Grotto and the other caves?
The Blue Grotto is the most famous cave on Capri, known for the electric blue light inside the water. Entry requires a separate ticket (not included), but the yacht passes the entrance so you see it from the water. The Green Grotto and White Grotto are also on the route and accessible for swimming and snorkeling without an extra ticket.
Is the eight-hour cruise one continuous loop or can we stay longer at certain spots?
The cruise runs eight hours total, but because stops are customizable, you decide how long to spend at each location. The guide works with your preferences, so if you want more time snorkeling at one spot and less at another, that's how the day is shaped.
What happens if I'm arriving on a cruise ship? How does the timing work?
Cruise ship passengers must provide the ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time at booking. The yacht's return to Capri Harbour is timed to get you back before your ship departs, so you know the schedule fits your port call.
Is lunch included, or do I need to bring my own food?
Lunch is not included in the price. The boat can arrange lunch at a restaurant along the shore or provide a light lunch on board if you request it at booking. Both options cost extra. Crispy snacks and beverages are included throughout the day.
