The experience

The day starts at Marina Grande, Capri's main port, where you meet your local guide. From there, you board a shared boat that circles the island: the route passes through the White and Green Caves and past the Faraglioni, the three rock formations that rise straight from the sea. The boat ride is the only part shared with other travelers. The rest of the tour is private to your group.

After the boat returns, you travel by convertible car (groups up to five) or minibus to Anacapri, the island's second town. A chairlift carries you to Monte Solaro, the highest point on Capri, followed by a short walk to take in the view. You'll have free time here and in Anacapri itself, where local craft shops and food stalls line the streets. Lunch happens on your own during this window.

The afternoon moves to La Piazzetta, Capri's main square, where you walk through the bars and shops that fill it. From there, a stroll leads to the Augustus Gardens, which overlook the Bay of Salerno. Admission is included. You return to Marina Grande whenever you're ready to catch the ferry back to the Amalfi Coast. The whole tour runs about six hours from start to finish.
