The experience

The tour starts at Marina Grande, Capri's main port, where you meet your guide and board a comfortable minibus. The first stop is the Blue Grotto, the island's most famous site, but whether you enter depends entirely on the sea. The entrance is so small that even slight swells can make it impassable, so the visit happens only when conditions allow. If the grotto is accessible, you'll see the water shift between deep blue and emerald as the light hits the cave.

From there, the minibus climbs to Anacapri, Capri's second-largest town, a quiet place of narrow streets and small squares that feels different from the busier main town. You can add admission to Villa San Michele, the Swedish doctor Axel Munthe's house, or skip it and explore the village on your own. Mount Solaro, the island's highest point, is reachable by chairlift from Anacapri. The chairlift ticket is optional, but the view from the top stretches across the entire island and the surrounding sea.

After lunch, the tour moves to Capri town and La Piazzetta, the main square and the social heart of the island, lined with stylish hotels, open-air cafes and shops. The minibus then returns you to Marina Grande to finish the day.
