The experience

You meet your guide at Molo Beverello, Naples' main port, and board a fast ferry straight to Capri. Once you land, a shuttle bus takes you along the famous Mamma Mia Road (the winding coastal drive itself is part of the draw), toward the Blue Grotto. If sea conditions allow, you enter the cave and see the water's electric blue reflection off the limestone walls. If the sea is rough, you take a shared boat ride around the island instead. Either way, you're not arranging a separate boat or negotiating with private operators at the pier.

From there, the shuttle carries you to Anacapri, the island's quieter second town. You can ride a chairlift up Monte Solaro, Capri's highest point, for views across the island and the sea, then descend and take a break for lunch at a local spot. After eating, you head back down to Capri's main town to spend time at La Piazzetta, the central square where locals and visitors sit over espresso, and walk through the Augustus Gardens, which overlook the Faraglioni rock formations.
