The experience

The tour departs from dock number zero at Capri's main port and runs six hours total. A minibus carries the small group along the Mamma Mia Road to the Blue Grotto, Capri's most visited natural site. Entry is included, and you board a small boat to navigate the grotto's narrow entrance. Sunlight filtering through the water creates the iridescent blue glow the cave is famous for. Access depends on sea conditions and tides. If the grotto is closed, the guide takes the group to explore other caves around the island instead.

After the grotto, the minibus climbs to Anacapri, the island's highest area. Most visitors ride the chairlift up Monte Solaro (15 minutes each way, €14 per person, not included) to a terrace overlooking the Faraglioni rocks and the Mediterranean. A café sits at the top. You can also visit the Gardens of Augustus or the Villa San Michele from Anacapri, though neither is part of the tour package. The guide remains with the group throughout.

La Piazzetta, Capri's main square, is the final stop before the return to Marina Grande. You have free time here to walk at your own pace, sit at a café, order gelato, or browse the boutiques and restaurants that ring the square. The Bay of Salerno is visible from the piazza. The tour ends with a ride back to the port, where you board the fast ferry to leave the island.
