The experience
The boat leaves Sorrento Harbour with a small group and a professional skipper who speaks English. On the water around Capri, you'll see the White Grotto from the boat, then enter the Blue Grotto itself. The visit is guaranteed unless high tide closes it or the queue runs past 30 minutes. The Natural Arch, a granite bridge set in a pine forest above the water, comes next, followed by the Faraglioni: three rock stacks that rise an average of 100 meters, with the middle one famous for its stone archway.
Marina Piccola bay is where the boat stops for swimming in clear water, with the dramatic Faraglioni as your backdrop. You'll get snacks and drinks on board during this break. The Punta Carena Lighthouse, which dominates the southwestern coast, is visible from the water as well.
Once ashore in Capri, you have three to four hours to walk the town at your own pace: time to find a café, browse the shops, or simply sit and watch the water. On the return to Sorrento, there's a limoncello tasting as the boat heads back. Hotel pickup and drop-off in the Sorrento area are included. If you book less than 24 hours ahead, you'll meet the boat at the port instead. The itinerary can shift based on weather and sea conditions, and the skipper has the final say on timing and routing.
