The experience
The tour starts at Marina Grande, the main harbor where ferries arrive, and moves between the island's boat-accessible grottoes and its hillside landmarks. You'll travel by rowboat into the Blue Grotto first, where sunlight filters through the water and turns it electric blue. The same boat route passes the White Grotto and Green Grotto, each lit by natural light in different ways. The Faraglioni (three limestone rock formations rising from the sea) come into view from the water and again later from the Gardens of Augustus, where you walk terraced paths lined with flowers and greenery overlooking Marina Piccola on the southern coast.
An air-conditioned vehicle carries the group between Marina Grande, Anacapri (the hilltop town), and the central piazza near the Gardens. The guide speaks English or Spanish and travels with you throughout. You'll have time to walk through the Piazzetta di Capri, the island's main square, and can browse Via Camerelle, the upscale shopping street nearby, though these are stops rather than structured activities. The Natural Arch, a prehistoric rock formation visible from both land and sea, appears during the route.
The 7-hour span runs from morning into early afternoon. Entrance to the Gardens of Augustus and the Blue Grotto are included. If you want to visit Villa San Michele (the historic villa with art collections and panoramic views in Anacapri) or ride the chairlift up Monte Solaro to the 589-meter summit, you can add those tickets at checkout for a per-person fee. Infants can ride in a stroller, and service animals are welcome.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English and Spanish.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Infant (under 3): free.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
Can I actually get inside the Blue Grotto, or do we just see it from the boat?
You board a rowboat that enters the Blue Grotto itself. The boat glides through the cave's interior where the sunlight creates the blue glow in the water. The same route passes the White Grotto and Green Grotto, each with its own light and color from the natural openings.
What are the Faraglioni, and do we get close to them?
The Faraglioni are three dramatic limestone rocks (named Stella, Mezzo, and Scopolo) that rise sharply from the sea off Capri's coast. You see them from the boat during the grotto tour and again from the Gardens of Augustus, where they frame the view across Marina Piccola.
Is lunch included in the tour?
Lunch is not included. The 7-hour tour covers the grottoes, the Faraglioni, and the Gardens of Augustus, with time in the town center where cafés and restaurants are available if you want to eat.
What's included in the price, and what costs extra?
Entrance to the Blue Grotto and the Gardens of Augustus, the air-conditioned vehicle, and the guided tour are included. Villa San Michele and the Monte Solaro chairlift are optional add-ons you can purchase at checkout.
