The experience
Seven to eight hours means you start at Marina Grande and spend the morning cruising the island's full coastline. The boat passes Bagni di Tiberio, enters the Blue Grotto (waiting times can run up to an hour), then circles the Faraglioni: the three dramatic rock formations that rise from the sea. You get time to swim in the clear water around them and photograph the natural arch of Stella, the middle formation. Along the way, the skipper anchors at secluded coves like Cala del Rio or Cala del Limmo for snorkeling in waters where the marine life is still visible.
On board, chilled Prosecco and the house Limoncello arrive with mixed appetizers and a brunch of local specialties. Water, beer, sodas and Spritz are available throughout. The yacht has a bathroom, a cabin for changing, a hot-water shower and full sun shade, so you can rinse off after swimming without leaving the boat. A live guide in English or Italian narrates the stops and the history: the Faraglioni's rare blue lizard, the legend of the sirens at Marina Piccola, the story of Emperor Tiberius and the cliffs he ruled from.
Around midday, you dock at the private pier "Il Pennello" in Marina Grande, where you have roughly four hours free. Walk to the Piazzetta, the island's main square; climb to the Gardens of Augustus for views down to the Faraglioni; browse the boutiques along the narrow streets; or sit at a restaurant and order lunch on your own. At the set time, you return to the same private dock to re-board for the sail back.

Is this one for you?Groups of up to twelve work well here because the boat is small enough to reach the narrow coves and the private dock, but large enough that you're not paying for a full private charter. Choose this if you want the structure of a guided tour in the morning (the Blue Grotto, the Faraglioni, the snorkeling stops), and then the freedom to wander Capri's streets and eat where you want in the afternoon.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Italian.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What happens if the Blue Grotto has a very long wait or closes for the day?
The tour proceeds without that stop if waiting times would run over an hour or if authorities close the grotto temporarily. No refund is issued because the rest of the itinerary (the Faraglioni swim, the snorkeling coves, the four hours in the city) still runs as scheduled.
Can I bring my own snorkel gear, or is it provided?
Masks and fins are included. You can use the boat's equipment or bring your own if you prefer.
Is lunch included, or do I pay separately when we're in Capri?
Brunch with local specialties is served on board in the morning. During your four hours ashore, you choose where and what to eat. Restaurants and cafés are within walking distance of the dock.
How many people will be on the boat?
The group is a maximum of twelve passengers, making it semi-private rather than a large tour boat.
What is the Faraglioni, and why swim there?
The Faraglioni are three towering rock formations rising from the sea off Capri's coast. Saetta is still attached to the island, Stella has a natural arch, and Scopolo is the farthest out. The water around them is clear and calm enough for swimming and snorkeling, and they are the most photographed landmark on the island.
