The experience
The boat leaves from Positano, Praiano, Amalfi, Maiori or Minori. You pick your departure point at checkout. The route follows the Amalfi Coast through the marine protected area of Punta Campanella, where the water and wildlife are preserved. Once you reach Capri, the tour passes Marina Grande and heads toward the Blue Grotto, which you can enter on request (though rough seas or long queues of boats may make it inaccessible). The itinerary then swings past the Punta Carena lighthouse, the second most powerful in Italy, before reaching the Green Grotto with its emerald-lit waters and stalactites.
Two swim stops break up the day. The first is at Marina Piccola, Capri's most exclusive cove, where you get an aperitif and time in the water. Later, near the Faraglioni rocks (the four famous limestone formations that define Capri's silhouette). You pass the White Grotto before arriving in Nerano for lunch at a waterfront restaurant. You choose and pay for your meal there. On the return, there's a chance to swim again in a quieter spot along the coast, and the boat carries you back with a glass of prosecco and the breeze.
The boat is a traditional Gozzo, newly built in 2023 or 2025, 26 feet long. Snorkelling equipment, beach towels, a canopy for shade on the aft deck, and a separate toilet are all on board. The fridge holds prosecco, beer, limoncello and Aperol Spritz. There's also cola, lemon soda, bottled water and dry snacks. Only your group travels, no other passengers join, so the pace and stops can shift if conditions change or if you want to linger somewhere.
What’s included
- Prosecco, beer, limoncello and Aperol Spritz from a cooled fridge.
- cola, lemon soda and bottled mineral water.

- beach towel for each person.

Is this one for you?Book this tour if you want a private boat with no other passengers and the flexibility to adjust stops based on sea conditions and your mood. The small group size, maximum six, and the guide's ability to linger at grottoes or skip them if the sea is rough means you're not locked into a fixed schedule or forced through crowded attractions. Choose your departure port at checkout to match where you're staying on the coast.
Traveler reviews
Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Spanish and Italian.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
Can I visit the Blue Grotto on this tour?
The Blue Grotto is an optional stop on request. Rough seas, strong winds, swells or queues of boats exceeding an hour may make entry impossible on the day, so it is not guaranteed. Your guide will assess conditions and let you know if it's accessible when you arrive.
What happens if the sea is rough or the weather turns bad?
The itinerary is flexible and adjusts to sea conditions. If the Blue Grotto becomes inaccessible or if swells are too strong, your guide will modify the route to keep you safe and still show you the other grottoes, rock formations and beaches on the tour.
Is lunch included in the price?
Lunch is not included. You stop at a waterfront restaurant in Nerano and order and pay for your own meal there. The operator recommends the restaurants in this area as among the best on the Amalfi Coast.
What are the Faraglioni and why do they matter?
The Faraglioni are four imposing limestone rock formations off Capri: Saetta (attached to the island), Monacone, Stella and Scopolo. They are the most recognizable symbol of Capri and have inspired legends and artists for centuries. The tour passes close enough for photos and videos.
How many people can fit on the boat?
The boat holds a maximum of six passengers, so your group stays small and the experience stays private. No other bookings join you on the same departure.
What's included to drink and eat during the day?
Prosecco, beer, limoncello, Aperol Spritz, cola, lemon soda and bottled water are available from the onboard fridge. Dry snacks (several kinds of chips, peanuts, olives and others) are provided. Lunch in Nerano is separate and at your own cost.
