Crystal Bay has clearer water and gentler waves, with coral reefs and schools of fish you can actually see without squinting. A local snorkeler stays with you in a small boat the whole time, keeping an eye on the current so you don't drift. Two hours in the water, and then you're back on the boat heading to the next stop.

After snorkeling, the tour swings east to Diamond Beach, where you walk down a steep set of steps (locals maintain the path daily) to reach white sand backed by high cliffs. The beach itself is narrow and dramatic — good for photos, less ideal for swimming if the waves are rough. From there you climb up to Molenteng Tree House, a viewpoint on a ridge that overlooks five islands and the coastline stretching out below. It's a steep walk up, but the view is the kind of thing you actually remember. You eat lunch somewhere on the island, and then the fast boat takes you back to Sanur around late afternoon. The whole day, pier to pier, runs about 10 hours.
