- See T-Rex-shaped Kelingking Beach headland
- Swim at Crystal Bay Beach

The experience
Eleven hours sounds long, but the island packs four distinct stops into the day and the boat crossing eats roughly two hours round-trip. You start with Broken Beach, where an enormous cave collapsed into the sea and left behind a rock arch framing a whirlpool of blue and green water. The next stop is Kelingking Beach, a craggy headland shaped like a T-Rex's head when you look at it from above. You stay at the viewpoint rather than descend to the sand, which keeps the schedule tight and the group moving.
Crystal Bay comes next, known for clear water and colorful fish: swimmers and divers both use it, so you can wade in or just watch from the shore. The final stop is a natural infinity pool that exists only at certain tides, where white waves wash into a shallow basin and foam against the rocks. Between these four sites, the itinerary includes a photo stop at either Tropic Beach or Virgin Beach (the original stop at Korawa Beach is currently closed due to erosion). The guide handles the route and timing. You ride in an air-conditioned vehicle with your group and stop to look, swim or photograph as the day allows.
You choose between a small group tour (up to 5 people) or a private option when you book, and separately whether to add hotel pickup from your Bali accommodation or meet the boat at a set point. If you pick pickup, your Bali driver collects you in the morning and takes you to the speedboat terminal. Once you arrive in Nusa Penida, look for the TripGuru guide wearing a green shirt and holding a TripGuru sign. The guide speaks English, French, German, Korean or one of two other languages depending on your group's needs.

Is this one for you?Choose the small group option if you're comfortable sharing the day with other travelers and want a lower price. Pick the private tour if your group wants to set its own pace and skip the photo stops. Hotel pickup saves you the trip to the boat terminal in the morning, but meeting the boat at a set point works just as well if you're staying near the port or prefer to arrange your own transport to the dock.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, French, German, Korean, Chinese and Japanese.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What is Kelingking Beach actually like when you get there?
Kelingking Beach is a dramatic rocky headland shaped like a dinosaur's head when viewed from above, with steep cliffs dropping to the sand below. You stay at the clifftop viewpoint to photograph the formation and the ocean stretching out beyond it. Descending to the beach itself is not part of the tour due to safety and scheduling.
Can I swim at any of the stops on this tour?
Yes. Crystal Bay has clear water and is used by both swimmers and divers, so you can wade in or snorkel if you bring gear. The natural infinity pool at the final stop is shallow and tidal, so swimming there depends on the tide level when you arrive. Broken Beach and Kelingking are viewpoint stops where swimming is not an option.
How long is the boat ride from Bali to Nusa Penida?
The speedboat crossing takes roughly one hour each way, so the round-trip boat time accounts for about two hours of your 11-hour day. The remaining time covers the four island stops, transport between them and the photo break at Tropic or Virgin Beach.
What's the difference between the small group and private tour options?
The small group tour includes up to 5 people traveling together with a shared guide, while the private tour is for your group alone with a dedicated guide. Both follow the same route and stops. The private option gives you control over the pace and timing within the day.
Do I need to bring anything for swimming, or is gear provided?
The tour does not include snorkel gear or wetsuits. Bring your own swimsuit and towel if you plan to swim at Crystal Bay or the infinity pool. The guide will tell you when each stop allows time for water.
What happens if the weather is bad or a beach is closed?
Korawa Beach is currently closed due to land erosion and unsafe road conditions. The itinerary substitutes Tropic Beach or Virgin Beach for the photo stop instead. The tour operates in most weather. Your guide will confirm final details the morning of departure.
