The experience
The fast boat leaves Sanur harbor and takes 45 minutes to reach Nusa Penida. Once there, you snorkel at three separate spots: Manta Bay first, known for manta sightings and dramatic underwater terrain; then Gamat Bay, a calm reef with clear water and tropical fish; and finally Crystal Bay, famous for coral gardens and bright schooling fish. At each stop you have time to swim, photograph the reef and scan for larger marine life. The snorkeling guide stays with the group, and underwater photos are included when sea conditions allow.
After the boat returns to shore, you switch to a car with a driver for the land portion. Kelingking Beach is the stop most visitors come for: a clifftop viewpoint with a dramatic "T-Rex" coastline shape and panoramic ocean views where you can spend time on photos. Broken Beach comes next, a natural sea arch and circular cove carved into the cliffs, another signature photo spot. The final stop is Angel's Billabong, a natural tide pool area with rock formations and bright coastal colors. Your guide helps you navigate safely since conditions shift with the tide.
Snorkeling here is weather and sea-dependent, so the route may shift for safety. Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and a change of clothes. If you're arriving to Nusa Penida by boat the same day and choosing Meet-in-Penida, book a boat that reaches the harbor before the meeting time. The All-Inclusive option includes Bali hotel pickup and drop-off plus round-trip fast boat tickets. Meet-in-Penida starts from the harbor and does not include boat tickets or Bali transfers.
