The Experience

Kelingking Cliff is the day's anchor, but the water is where the hours go. You start at Bluuu Lounge in Serangan with coffee, tea and pastries before a 30-minute boat crossing to Nusa Penida. The snorkeling unfolds across four stops: Bluuu Snorkelling Spot near Lembongan Island where coral gardens hold turtles and schools of fish; SD Point, a drift snorkel through more coral; Wall Bay, where you snorkel next to mangroves and the reef; and Manta Bay—Manta Point—where the manta rays appear when conditions align. A professional certified guide is in the water with you, and the boat carries life jackets so you can snorkel even if you don't swim.

Lunch lands at a premium beachfront club with an infinity pool overlooking the Agung Gate, and a daybed is yours for the afternoon. After eating, a car tour takes you inland to Kelingking Cliff, the T-Rex shaped rock formation that dominates the island's eastern edge. The return boat leaves Nusa Penida in time to reach Serangan Harbor around 5:30 to 6 PM. Showers and a lounge are available at the office before your transfer back to Seminyak, Canggu, Ubud, Kuta or another area of Bali.

The operator, Bluuu Tours, has run boat trips here for over eight years. GoPro footage of your snorkeling is included—the underwater shots come back with you. Snorkeling gear and fins are provided, and entry fees to the stops are built into the price. The tour runs eight to nine hours door to door, and you're back in Bali before dark.
