The experience
The day starts with hotel pickup from Seminyak and transfer to the speedboat dock. You'll cross to Nusa Penida on a shared speedboat, then switch to a private air-conditioned car for the island exploration. The driver speaks English and acts as your guide through the stops, handling the route while you focus on the views and the camera.
Broken Beach comes first: a two-hour overland drive through limestone terrain to reach a massive natural arch framing turquoise water. The pathways are rocky and unpaved, but vendors at the cliff edge sell drinks and beer if you want to sit and take in the seascape. Just steps away, Angel's Billabong offers a naturally formed rock lagoon where you can descend into crystal-clear pools for a swim, though access depends on low tide. The site is often quiet enough to have the infinity pool mostly to yourself.
Kelingking Beach is the main event: the T-Rex shaped cliff rises from a purpose-built viewing platform bordered by bamboo fences. If you choose to trek down to the sand, the path is steep in sections and requires some rock climbing, especially on the return. Locals have placed rocks and bamboo to help. The beach itself is usually empty, and the sand and water reward the effort, though currents are strong and there are no lifeguards. Bring water and sturdy shoes. After lunch at a set menu restaurant, you'll head to Crystal Bay on the western side, where calm tides reveal crystal-clear water perfect for snorkeling. Visibility can reach 30 metres, and the dark sand beach has parasol-shaded sunbeds available for rent.
The return speedboat departs Crystal Bay in the late afternoon, getting you back to Seminyak by evening. All entrance tickets, lunch, transport on the island, parking, tax and the speedboat fare are included. You bring sunscreen and a camera.

Is this one for you? This tour works best for travelers who want to see multiple beaches in a single day without renting a motorbike or arranging their own transport on unfamiliar terrain. The shared speedboat keeps the cost down, and the fixed itinerary means you hit all four sites in the right order, though the trek to Kelingking's sand demands sturdy legs and good shoes.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Malay.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (2 to 11 years); Infant (under 2): free.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
How do I get to Nusa Penida from my hotel in Seminyak?
Hotel pickup is included. The driver collects you from your villa or hotel, transfers you to the speedboat dock, and you cross on a shared speedboat to Nusa Penida's northern harbour. The return journey follows the same route in the late afternoon.
Can I swim at all four beaches, or are there restrictions?
Broken Beach is for viewing the arch and the seascape. Angel's Billabong's rock pools are swimmable only during low tide. Kelingking Beach has swimmable water depending on tide, but currents are strong and there are no lifeguards. Crystal Bay is the main snorkel site with calm, clear water near the shore during calmer tides.
Is the trek down to Kelingking Beach difficult?
Kelingking requires a challenging descent with steep sections and some rock climbing, especially on the way back up. Locals have placed rocks and bamboo to aid the climb. Bring drinking water, wear sturdy shoes, and time your visit for low tide. The tour suits all fitness levels, but this particular beach demands physical effort.
What's included in the lunch?
A set menu lunch is provided at a restaurant on the island. Vegetarian options are available if you request them when booking.
How much time do I spend at each beach?
The itinerary covers four stops across nine to ten hours total, including travel time, lunch and the speedboat crossing. Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong are near each other and visited together; Kelingking gets the most time because of the trek; Crystal Bay is the final stop before the return crossing.
