You're picked up from your hotel, taken to the boat, and spend the day at four of Nusa Penida's main landmarks with three separate snorkel sessions. Lunch and all entrance fees are included, as is snorkeling gear. The Experience

Seven in the morning, your driver arrives at your hotel in Kuta. The boat leaves Sanur at 8:30, and by 9:30 you're stepping onto Nusa Penida island—a place that doesn't feel like the rest of Bali. The cliffs here are steep and pale, the water a shade of blue that photographs don't quite capture. Your first stop is Angel Billabong, a natural rock pool carved into the southwestern cliffs where you can wade into crystal-clear water during low tide. It's the kind of place where you stand still for a moment and just look.

Then comes the snorkeling. You'll go in at three points—Mantabay, Gamatbay, and Crystal Bay—and the equipment is provided. The underwater part is quieter than you'd expect, and the fish move through the water like they own it. After that, Kelingking Beach appears: a white sand crescent backed by a green headland that drops straight into the ocean. Broken Beach, just nearby, has that famous limestone arch and sometimes you'll see the silhouettes of manta rays in the deeper water if you're lucky. Lunch happens on the island—Indonesian food, rice, vegetables, the kind of meal that tastes better when you're tired and hungry.

The whole day is structured, which matters because Nusa Penida can only be reached by fast boat and the timing has to work. You're back at your Kuta hotel by evening. The tour includes your pickup from anywhere in the southern resort areas—Legian, Canggu, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Tanjung Benoa, Sanur, Ubud, or Uluwatu—so you don't arrange the boat yourself or figure out which snorkel site is worth the money.
