The experience

Pickup happens at 2pm from anywhere in Jaisalmer (airport, railway station or hotel) by private car to Khuri. The first camel safari takes you into the deep Thar Desert through the non-touristic parts of Jaisalmer, where lunch waits in the open desert. After rest, you ride a private camel to the desert national park and then to the sand dunes to watch sunset over the dunes before heading back to the village.

Dinner comes with a bonfire, traditional Kalbeliya dance performances and live music that runs from 7pm to 10pm. After the evening ends, an open jeep or camel cart takes you back out to the dunes, where you sleep under the open sky on the sand. There is no tent, no roof. Just stars and the desert around you. In the morning after sunrise, a camel ride brings you back to camp.

The second day starts with a walk through the countryside village to experience how local people live. You return to camp, freshen up and eat breakfast. A private car then drops you back to Jaisalmer city. The tour includes snacks, dinner, breakfast, water and all transport. Alcoholic drinks are available to purchase separately.
