The experience

The tour starts with the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest pyramid ever built. Depending on which option you book, you can walk around it or enter inside: a rare chance to stand in the burial chamber of an ancient pharaoh. From there you move to the Pyramid of Khafre and the Pyramid of Menkaure, where your guide explains how they were constructed and the legacies of the pharaohs who commissioned them. The Great Sphinx comes next: a limestone guardian with a lion's body and a king's head, carved from a single block of stone. Your guide shares the stories and legends that have surrounded it for millennia.

The camel ride takes you across the desert sands around the pyramids, giving you a perspective most visitors never get. You'll stop at the panoramic viewpoint where all three pyramids line up in a single frame: the spot photographers wait for. The Valley Temple, where ancient mummification rituals took place, rounds out the stops. Throughout the day, your private guide handles the route and the timing, and if you book the all-inclusive option, entrance fees and the camel ride are already covered.
