You’ll see sacred temples, hidden waterfalls, and rice terraces all in one day—with a local guide who knows every shortcut and story worth hearing. If you want real Bali beyond postcards, this is it.
The air in Ubud felt thick with the scent of wet earth as we wandered into the Sacred Monkey Forest. Monkeys darted across mossy statues—one even tried to peek inside my bag. Our guide, Wayan, pointed out a tiny shrine tucked behind a banyan tree that most people walked right past. It’s easy to get lost in the chatter of monkeys and the soft hum of cicadas here.
Later, we drove up winding roads to Tegalalang Rice Terraces. The fields looked like green steps carved into the hillside. I could hear farmers calling out to each other as they worked—sometimes you catch the faint smell of roasting coffee from a nearby warung. Walking along the narrow paths between paddies, I nearly slipped (it gets muddy after rain), but Wayan just laughed and handed me a bamboo stick for balance.
Our next stop was a waterfall that barely shows up on Google Maps. Hardly anyone else around—just the sound of water crashing down and birds overhead. The rocks were slippery but cool underfoot. I dipped my toes in; it was colder than I expected.
Tirta Empul Temple came last. Locals lined up for purification rituals in the holy spring water. The temple grounds buzzed quietly with prayers and incense smoke. Wayan explained how each fountain has its own meaning—he even showed us where to stand if we wanted to join in (bring a change of clothes if you do). By late afternoon, my shirt smelled faintly of frangipani and temple incense.
Yes, children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult at all times for safety.
Absolutely! Just bring a change of clothes and towel if you’d like to take part.
No problem at all! Let us know when booking so we can arrange vegetarian meals for you.
If you're staying outside Ubud, it may take 5-7 hours or more depending on traffic and stops.
You’ll have your own private car with driver-guide, bottled water throughout the day, entrance fees covered, lunch included (vegetarian options available), plus hotel or port pickup and drop-off—all arranged for your comfort.
