If you land in Ubud with a free day and no transport arranged, this tour removes the logistics. The day runs ten hours, which is long enough to see the main attractions without rushing through them, and short enough to leave the evening free.

The stops themselves are the draw. You walk through the Sacred Ubud Monkey Forest, home to over 700 long-tailed macaques in the tropical canopy; browse the Ubud Art Market where local sellers display carvings and textiles; pass the Ubud Palace to see the traditional Balinese architecture; trek down into the Tegalalang Rice Terrace for the view of the stacked green paddies; and swim or wade at Tegenungan Waterfall, the closest waterfall to central Ubud. You also visit Tirta Empul Temple, where locals perform blessing rituals at the crystal-clear fountains, and stop at workshops where you watch Balinese artisans work silver and carve wood.
