The experience

The day starts with pickup from your accommodation and a drive to Tegalalang Rice Terraces, where you walk through the stepped emerald fields and learn how rice farming works on the slopes. Then comes the choice: a Flying Fox zipline, Superman zipline, or a swing that hangs you out over the terraces. After that rush, you head to Ulu Petanu Waterfall near Kedisan Village: fewer stairs than most, so you can swim in the cool water without a long hike back up.

Tirta Empul Temple is next, a sacred site built around natural spring water where Balinese people come to purify themselves. The temple sits in a valley with pools fed by underground springs, and the spiritual weight of the place is real even if you're not religious. You'll wear a traditional sarong provided for the visit. Then lunch at a local restaurant with rice terrace views (your choice between western food or traditional Balinese dishes) before heading to a coffee plantation where a guide walks you through the plants, explains the different types of coffee and tea growing there, and lets you roast and brew your own cup. You get to taste fourteen small samples to compare the flavors.

The tour ends at Kanto Lampo Waterfall, a multi-tiered cascade with natural rock pools where you can swim before heading back to your hotel. The whole day runs eight to ten hours. Your driver is also your guide and carries a camera for mobile photography, so you get help capturing the moments. The vehicle is air-conditioned, WiFi is included, and you get bottled water throughout. If you book the all-inclusive option, entrance fees and lunch are covered.
