The experience

The day starts at Kanto Lampo Waterfall, where a short walk through green surroundings leads to a cascade set for photographs. A second waterfall lies northeast of Ubud. This one requires stairs and a pathway down to reach it, and the water is fresh enough to swim in. Between the two waterfalls you'll stop at Sebatu temple, a quiet spot on a hillside surrounded by lush grounds and koi ponds, then move to the jungle swing for pictures overlooking the thick valley below.

The rice terrace section is a short trek through Tegalalang, where you walk the paddies as a Balinese farmer would, seeing how the land is worked. The all-inclusive option includes a jungle restaurant meal set within the valley view itself. The basic option skips this and the swing ticket, covering only the entrance fees to each site and the transport between them. Either way, your driver handles the route and the explanations about traditional Balinese life come throughout the eight hours.
