Three Waterfalls, One Swing, and the Rice Terraces That Made Ubud Famous

You visit four natural attractions in one day: three waterfalls with swimming pools (Kanto Lampo, Tibumana, and Tukad Cepung inside a cave), walk through the famous Tegalalang Rice Terrace learning about traditional irrigation, and experience the jungle swing with views over the rice fields. Hotel pickup, all entry fees, transport in an air-conditioned vehicle, and bottled water are included, with the full day lasting around eight hours.

Is this one for you?Book this if you want to see Ubud's main natural attractions in one day without arranging separate transport, tickets, and timing between stops — the fixed itinerary handles all three waterfalls, the rice terrace, and the swing in a single outing.

Our driver picked us up early, and within minutes of leaving the main road, he started pointing out which paths the locals use to avoid the crowds. That kind of thing matters when you're trying to see Kanto Lampo Waterfall before the tour buses arrive — and it turns out the short walk from the parking area is exactly what makes it work. The waterfall cascades over a series of rock formations instead of dropping straight down, so you can stand right under the flow or wade into the shallow pool without feeling like you're fighting the current. The jungle around it is dense enough to feel removed, but the rocks are smooth enough that photos actually come out.

After Kanto Lampo, the drive to Tibumana takes about thirty minutes, and that's when the day shifts. Tibumana is quieter — fewer people, clearer water, and the walk in follows a proper path through the jungle with small streams crossing it. The waterfall itself is a single drop into a calm pool, and the whole spot has a different energy than the first one. You can actually swim here without feeling rushed. Then comes Tukad Cepung, which is the one everyone talks about afterward. It's hidden inside a cave with sunlight cutting through the canyon walls, and getting there means wading through shallow streams and ducking under rock overhangs. The light hits the water in a way that makes every photo look unreal, even though you're standing right there watching it happen.

Tegalalang Rice Terrace is the stop where you step out of the jungle and into the postcard. The terraces cascade down the hillside in these perfect green layers, and the paths between them are narrow enough that you're walking through the actual farming system — the traditional subak irrigation that's been feeding Bali for centuries. It's not a quick photo stop; you can spend real time here learning how it works and just standing in the middle of it. After that comes the jungle swing, which is exactly as advertised: you're suspended high above the rice fields and jungle, and the view while you're swinging is the kind of thing that justifies the whole day.

The whole tour runs about eight hours from pickup to drop-off, and the AC vehicle matters because you're moving between different elevations and humidity levels throughout the day. Entry fees to all the waterfalls and the rice terrace are included, as is bottled water. If you're thinking about doing this, book it early in your Ubud stay — once you've seen these three waterfalls and the swing, you'll know which parts of Bali you want to spend more time in.
