Your day starts with pickup from your hotel and a drive to a traditional Balinese home, where you'll spend time with local residents and see how daily life unfolds in the compound. From there, the guide takes you to the Monkey Forest of Ubud, where nearly 1,260 Bali long-tail macaques live in their natural habitat. You'll walk the dragon bridge, move through the lush forest and river canyon, and visit the monkeys temple at the center of the reserve.
Next comes Tegalalang Rice Terrace, set 600 meters above sea level on a cliff edge. The guide explains the ancient Balinese irrigation system called SUBAK as you take in the stepped rice paddies. A swing experience with jungle views follows, then lunch at a spot overlooking the Ubud outback. The meal is included in the all-inclusive option. If you've chosen a different package, you'll eat at your own cost.
The afternoon brings you to Tirta Empul Temple, founded in 969 and built around volcanic springs. You'll observe the spiritual bathing ceremony where local Hindu Balinese purify themselves in the holy spring fountains. The temple sits on a UNESCO-recognized site that feeds Ubud's ancient irrigation system. Your final stop is Tegenungan Waterfall, a 15-meter cascade surrounded by lush greenery where you can cool off before heading back to your hotel. The entire tour runs eight to ten hours, and your guide is ready to photograph and film moments throughout the day.
