The experience

A driver picks you up at 8 or 9am and takes you to the quad bike playground in the Ubud area, where you get a safety briefing and gear before riding. The two-hour track passes through waterfalls, tunnels, muddy sections, rice fields and jungle: climbing to high hills and dropping back down on trails built for the bikes. After you finish, lunch with an Indonesian menu gives you time to rest before the snorkeling leg.

The driver then brings you to Padang Bai village, where a traditional boat waits to take you to the two snorkeling spots. You spend roughly an hour at each: Blue Lagoon Beach first, known for clear water, coral and fish, then Tanjung Jepun Beach. If conditions align, you might see a turtle. Shower facilities and a changing room are available before the driver returns you to your hotel, ending the day around 6pm.

The quad bike choice matters: solo ride means one person per bike and full control of the throttle. Tandem ride fits two people on one bike (combined weight up to 150kg) and costs less per person. Both routes cover the same terrain and both include the full snorkeling sequence. The boat transfers between the two reef sites are part of the package, so you do not arrange separate transport to the beach.
