The experience
Blue Lagoon is built for snorkelers who are new to the activity or traveling with families: the waters stay shallow and protected, nothing like the surge and chop of exposed reefs. You spend two hours across two separate spots, each one chosen for calm conditions and visibility. A professional snorkeling instructor meets you in the water, so you're not figuring out the mask seal or the breathing rhythm on your own. All equipment comes with you: mask, fins, life jacket, and access to shower and changing facilities when you're done.
The day runs 12 hours from your hotel pickup at 8 AM. After snorkeling and lunch at a set-menu restaurant, the route moves to Padang Padang Beach: a stretch of white sand where you can rest before the next stop. Uluwatu Temple sits on a cliff 70 meters above the ocean, and you arrive as the sun begins its descent. The timing is the point here, not a rushed photo stop. The Kecak and Fire Dance performance happens at dusk, the chanting and firelight filling the space as the light fades.
Dinner is a set-menu seafood spread at a Jimbaran Beach restaurant: snapper, squid, clams, prawns, rice, vegetables and sauces, with mineral water and fresh fruit. If seafood isn't your choice, a non-seafood option is available when you book. The boat transfers to and from Blue Lagoon run on a shared basis, but the vehicle and guide are yours alone: no other travelers in the car.
Is this one for you?Hotel pickup at 8 AM means you don't need a car or navigate to Blue Lagoon yourself. The private vehicle is yours alone for the full 12 hours, so families and groups travel together without sharing space with other travelers.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Malay.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (6 to 11 years). Children under 6 can't be included in the booking.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What makes Blue Lagoon different from other snorkeling spots around Bali?
Blue Lagoon's waters are extremely calm and stay shallow, which is why it's the standard choice for families and new snorkelers. The two snorkeling sessions happen at separate spots within the lagoon, both selected for clear visibility and protected conditions.
Do I need snorkeling experience to join this activity?
No. A professional snorkeling instructor is in the water with you for both sessions, and all equipment (mask, fins, life jacket) is provided. The calm waters and shallow depth are designed for beginners and families with children from age 6 onward.
What happens at Uluwatu Temple, and why is the timing important?
Uluwatu Temple perches on a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean. You arrive as the sun sets, casting light across the water and cliffs. The Kecak and Fire Dance performance follows at dusk, so the natural light and the performance overlap.
Is the seafood dinner mandatory, and can I request something else?
The set-menu seafood dinner is included, but a non-seafood option is available if you request it at the time of booking. The menu includes snapper, squid, clams, prawns, rice, vegetables, sauces, water and fresh fruit.
How long is the actual snorkeling time, and what will I see underwater?
You snorkel for two hours total, split across two different spots in Blue Lagoon. The waters are clear enough to spot colorful fish and coral. The calm conditions and shallow depth keep the experience relaxed, not strenuous.
