The experience

Your day starts with pickup from your hotel or villa, heading first to Nusa Dua Beach for the Seawalker experience. You walk on the seafloor in a helmet, breathing normally while tropical fish and coral reefs surround you at close range. After that 10-minute underwater walk, lunch is served at a local restaurant in Nusa Dua before the drive inland to Ubud.

The ATV ride is where the day shifts into high gear. You operate the bike yourself for two hours through terrain that changes constantly: rice paddies, jungle sections, river crossings, tunnels carved through rock, and traditional villages where locals still live. The route is designed for both first-time riders and experienced ones, and instructors lead the way. You'll wear safety-approved gear, boots and a helmet. The bikes are maintained and insured. Beginners and experienced riders both handle it, though the minimum age is 9 for tandem rides (12 if riding solo).

The final two hours happen at Bali Orchid Spa in Kuta, where a Balinese therapist works through a full massage and spa treatment to ease the day's exertion out of your muscles. You'll have access to lockers, showers and a changing room at the ATV site before heading to the spa. The whole package runs about 10 hours from pickup to drop-off.

Can I ride an ATV on my own, or do I have to ride tandem?

You can choose: single rides are available for riders 12 and older, or tandem rides for two people (ages 9 and up) booked in pairs. Single-rider bookings work for one person. Tandem bookings must be in multiples of two, so a group of three would need one tandem pair and one single rider, for example.

What's the Seawalker experience actually like underwater?

You walk on the seafloor wearing a helmet that lets you breathe normally while staying dry inside. The helmet has an air supply, and you're in shallow water surrounded by coral reefs and tropical fish in their natural habitat. It lasts about 10 minutes and requires no swimming or diving experience.

How difficult is the ATV ride through Ubud?

The route is suitable for all fitness levels and both beginners and experienced riders. You'll navigate rice paddies, jungle paths, river crossings and village roads over two hours. An instructor leads the way, and all bikes are well-maintained with safety-approved equipment provided.

What happens if I'm vegetarian?
