The experience

You start at 8 am from your hotel with pickup and transfer to the Ayung River. The rafting stretch runs 10 km through 33 class II–III level rapids, with the river framed by wild rainforest, towering gorges and rice paddy terraces. The rapids suit beginners and families, and the route passes hidden waterfalls, kingfishers and jungle wildlife. After you finish on the water, you shower and change in the facilities at the rafting restaurant, where a buffet lunch is served.

The ATV portion takes two hours and covers rice fields, bamboo forest, jungle, river crossings, tunnels and a Bali traditional village. A professional instructor leads the ride and gives a full safety briefing before you start. If you want technical terrain, the instructor can guide you through steeper slopes and challenging descents where you use the bike's power to climb back uphill. You choose between a single ride on your own quad bike or a tandem ride with a partner on one bike.

The package includes helmet, life jacket and boot shoes; lockers, towels and a changing room; insurance, tax and service fees; and private air-conditioned transport for pickup and drop-off. The guide and instructor both speak English. Hotel pickup is available from Seminyak, Ubud, Sanur, Denpasar, Tanjung Benoa, Nusa Dua, Pecatu, Jimbaran, Tuban, Kuta, Legian, Kerobokan or Canggu. Vegetarian lunch can be arranged if you request it when booking.
