The experience

You start with hotel pickup in the morning and head to the quad bike location for a safety briefing before climbing onto a 250cc automatic ATV. The 2-hour ride takes you through rice terraces, tunnels, bamboo forests, jungles, rivers and villages: terrain that changes constantly and demands you handle the bike yourself. If you want technical challenge, your instructor can guide you through steeper slopes and tougher ground. After the ride, you shower, change and eat buffet lunch at the quad bike restaurant.

The afternoon visits three landmarks most day-trippers miss. Tegalalang Rice Terrace spreads across a valley in dramatic stepped rows. A local farmer invites visitors to sample green coconut and sells woven hats made from coconut leaves. Tirta Empul Temple is a sacred water temple built in 960 AD in the village of Manukaya, set against a backdrop of mountain springs and national cultural heritage. Tegenungan Waterfall reaches 20 meters high and sits between green rocky walls along the Petanu river. You can bathe and relax in the pool.

The full day runs 9 to 10 hours including transport, the ride, lunch and all three stops. Safety gear, boot shoes, towels and a changing room are provided. Quad bike insurance is included. This is a private tour, so only your party rides in the vehicle and on the bikes.
