The Experience

I’ll be honest, I didn’t expect to feel so much just stepping out of the car in Prampram. I tried to imagine what those ancestors felt crossing oceans they’d never seen.

We wandered between open-air installations and little pockets of shade where you could smell earth after last night’s rain. Sometimes Kwame would switch from English to Twi when he got excited describing an ancestor on the wall (I tried repeating one name and he grinned, “Not bad!”).
