The experience
Mt. Halla's 1100 Altitude Wetland is where the day begins: a high-mountain ecosystem protected under the Ramsar Convention and designated as a UNESCO Natural Heritage site, Global Geopark, and Biosphere Reserve all at once. You walk a tranquil boardwalk over ancient volcanic terrain where cool air and mist drift across the slopes, revealing vistas and ecological diversity found nowhere else on the island. The boardwalk itself is the route. The altitude and the rare triple designation are what make it worth the climb.
From there, you board a shared yacht for a cruise along Jeju's southern coast. The boat passes Jusangjeolli Cliff, a UNESCO Global Geopark site stretching over 2.5 kilometers: towering hexagonal lava rock columns best seen from the water, with Mt. Hallasan rising in the distance. On deck, the crew walks you through a hands-on fishing experience suited to beginners and veterans alike. Complimentary snacks and drinks come with the cruise: Jeju tangerine and green tea cookies, wine, beer, juice, coffee, and cup ramyeon prepared on board. Your private guide and vehicle wait for you on shore. Only the yacht itself is shared.
Cheonjiyeon Falls comes next: a cascade whose name translates to "the pond where heaven and earth meet," surrounded by lush subtropical forest and rare giant mottled eels in its clear pools. Cool air rises from the water, creating a refreshing pocket in the landscape. Jeongbang Waterfall follows, the only waterfall in Korea that falls directly into the ocean, dropping 23 meters over black volcanic cliffs into the sea. The final stop is O'Sulloc Tea Museum, set in green tea fields with views of the surrounding plantation. Your guide accompanies you to the newly opened Aging Cellar, where you taste premium teas aged in cedar, camphor and oak barrels. Fresh matcha ice cream and green tea desserts are available to order. The remaining time covers travel between stops and return to your hotel.
