The experience
The boat leaves Fajardo with your group aboard: no strangers, no shared schedule, just your own captain and crew. A certified captain handles navigation and knows the local marine life, geography and stories of Puerto Rico's east coast. You head to Icacos Island, where the water stays clear and the sand runs white. The four-hour outing gives you time to swim, snorkel the reefs, and drift on the paddleboards or kayak without rushing back to shore.
Snorkeling gear, noodles, a kayak and two paddleboards are ready when you arrive. The boat carries a 50-inch TV with Bluetooth sound, a sundeck for sun and shade both, cushioned seating, and a working bathroom. Fresh water rinse-down washes off the salt when you're done in the water. Lunch is a sandwich and chips. Drinks run to local beverages, sodas, bottled water and alcohol, all included. A mini boat for tubing is available if your group wants it.
Groups of seven or more book a bareboat charter, meaning you rent the vessel outright and have full say over where the captain takes you and how long you stay at each spot. Smaller groups travel with the captain in command, though he'll adjust the route to match what your group wants to see and do.
