The Experience
Check in at 9am at the gazebo near Fajardo marina, where the crew handles waivers, safety briefing and bathroom access before you board. The boat ride to Culebra takes about an hour, and once you arrive at Tamarindo Beach the guide sets up snorkeling gear and walks you through the basics before entering the water. You'll spend the guided session looking for sea turtles, coral reefs and fish varieties with the guide leading the way.
After snorkeling, you head back to the boat for fruit, snacks and drinks, then sail to Honeymoon Beach on Cayo Luis Peña. The crew anchors near shore, sets up an umbrella and floating mat, and you have the rest of the afternoon to swim, relax or do a second unguided snorkel in the shallows — the guide and captain point out safe spots. Lunch is a BBQ of pork or chicken with pasta salad and sweet bread, served either on the beach or aboard the boat, your choice.
The boat leaves at 3pm to head back to Fajardo, arriving at the marina between 4 and 4:30pm. Everything you need — snorkeling equipment, towels, sunblock reminders, food and drinks — is handled by the crew, so you bring only a towel and sunscreen.
