Craft your own wood-fired pizza, then unwind with wine and farm-fresh bites.

A pizza-making class at a working farm in Sorrento where you prepare dough using a family recipe handed down through generations, bake your own pizza in a traditional wood-burning oven, and sit down to eat it with farm-made mozzarella, cold cuts, grilled vegetables, wine and limoncello. The class runs about three and a half hours and includes a welcome drink, time to relax on the lawn, and a homemade dessert. Children from age one are welcome.

The Experience

The farm sits in the green hills above Sorrento, looking out toward the Gulf of Naples. You start with a freshly squeezed juice made from fruit grown on the property, then move into the kitchen with Francesco and Lia to learn the dough. They teach you the family recipe—the one passed down through their generations—and you'll work through the steps yourself. The dough is the foundation, and getting it right enough to stretch and shape is where the lesson lives.

Once the dough is ready, everyone bakes their own pizza in the wood-burning oven. The oven is traditional and built into the farm; watching your pizza cook in real fire is part of the class. After that comes the meal: your pizza, hot from the oven, alongside an appetizer of cold cuts and fresh mozzarella made on the farm, field vegetables grilled that day, bread, and a simple salad. Wine and water come with it. The food is straightforward—tomatoes, mozzarella, olive oil, vegetables—all from the farm or the region.

To finish, there's a homemade dessert (panna cotta or tiramisu, depending on the day) and a tasting of limoncello made in-house. The whole thing takes three and a half hours, and there's a relaxation area on the lawn if you want to sit between the lesson and the meal. Bring a sweater in case the evening cools down.

Wine, limoncello and extra virgin olive oil tasting are included in the class. The alcohol is served only to guests over eighteen years old.

What's included in the meal after I bake my pizza?

Your own pizza comes out of the oven, plus an appetizer of cold cuts and fresh mozzarella made on the farm, grilled field vegetables, bread, water, wine, and a homemade dessert. Everything except the wine is included for all ages.

How long does the whole class take?

The class runs three and a half hours from arrival to the end of the meal, including the welcome drink, the dough lesson, baking time, and lunch.

Can I bring young children?

Children are welcome from age one. Infants can sit on an adult's lap, and specialized infant seats are available if needed. The farm is set on a hillside with a relaxation area on the lawn.
