You ride the quad bike yourself for roughly 2 hours, not as a passenger watching someone else handle it. The route takes you past rice fields, through a gorilla cave, across bamboo forest and past traditional Balinese villages: terrain that demands you work the machine, not just sit in it. A professional guide leads the way on their own bike, and because it's a private trip, the driver picks you up from your hotel and brings you back, which means no negotiating transport or losing half the day to traffic.

The quad bikes are 250cc with a choice of transmission types, and no prior experience is necessary. You can ride solo if you weigh between 50 and 120 kilograms, or ride tandem with a friend: children aged 9 to 16 can join as passengers with an adult. After the riding portion, you shower and change at the facility, then sit down to a set menu lunch. Access to the swimming pool bar at Abiansila is included, so you can cool off before the next part of the day.

The second half visits two of Bali's most-visited natural sites. Ubud's Sacred Monkey Forest is where gray macaques roam among Hindu temples in the forest canopy.
