The experience

The day starts at Altun Ha, where a guide walks you through the main plazas and temples, connecting the archaeology to the trade routes and people who shaped this Maya city. You spend roughly an hour exploring the site before heading west to the zipline area near Nohoch Che'en and Frank's Eddy. The guides there handle all the safety setup (harness, helmet, briefing), so you move between platforms and see the forest canopy from above for about an hour. Round-trip transfer from Belize City is included, and the whole experience takes around five hours.

The zipline course is guided, which means trained staff manage the technical side while you focus on the movement and the view. You'll need to be comfortable with heights and the physical demands of moving between platforms, but the setup is designed to handle different fitness levels. Guides speak English and Spanish, so language is not a barrier. Groups stay under twenty people, keeping the pace manageable at both the ruins and the canopy.
