The experience

You drive the UTV yourself across sand dunes and desert terrain toward the canyons, 45 minutes from Zion National Park. The route passes through Navajo Sandstone landscape where you may spot local wildlife. Once you arrive, the guide leads you on foot into Peek-a-Boo Slot Canyon, a narrow passage locals describe as peaceful and surprise-filled. This walk is unhurried, and your guide will explain the canyon's history, flora and fauna while taking photos of your group.

The second hike goes into the Great Chamber, a 1.5-mile round trip through deep sand that is more physically demanding than the slot canyon walk. The geology and history of this formation are explained by your guide as you move through it. The view inside the Great Chamber is the payoff: a stone sanctuary with mesmerizing hues and a tranquil presence that photographers and hikers come specifically to see.

Helmets and goggles are provided and required for all riders. Your guide carries a cooler of water for the group. You can bring your own backpack with additional water for the hiking portions. The entire experience runs five hours. Drivers must be 21 or older with a valid driver's license in hand. Riders must be at least 5 years old. Everyone 18 and over needs to bring government-issued ID for the Polaris waiver.
