You arrive and get fitted with a helmet and goggles, then climb into the driver's seat of your own UTV. A licensed guide leads the way through Sand Hollow State Park, where the terrain shifts between red sand dunes and rocky canyon paths. The guide handles navigation and safety while you control the vehicle, climbing sandy inclines and cruising over rolling hills that feel like they stretch endlessly. The landscape changes as you ride, from the dunes themselves to views across the desert toward Zion to the north and the Hurricane cliffs to the east.

Sand Hollow State Park is built for this. The red sand dunes roll in waves, and the trails wind through terrain that regular vehicles cannot reach. You'll ride for roughly 2 hours, with the guide setting a pace that works for all skill levels. Helmets and goggles come with the rental, along with bottled water and ice to drink during the ride.
