The experience
Can you actually kayak into those sea caves, or do you just paddle past them? You paddle in. The day starts with hotel pickup and a transfer to the launch point, then you're in the kayak moving through the Tung Yee Peng Mangrove Forest: a protected area where the water stays calm and the canopy stays green. This is where you spot monkeys and lizards in their actual habitat, not from a distance. The guide navigates. You paddle.
The caves come next. Koh Talabeng holds sea caves with stalagmites and stalactites that catch the light, and the rock formations around the island rise sheer from the water. At Koh Phee, the limestone scenery shifts again: different cave systems, different angles, the same sense of moving through a landscape most visitors never reach. Between the islands you'll swim in clear emerald water and get a break from paddling. Monkey Point is a stop where the wildlife shows up reliably enough that the guide knows where to look.
Lunch and fresh fruit come partway through the day. Drinking water and snacks travel with you. Life jackets and all kayak gear are provided. The national park entrance fee is included in the price, so there's no separate payment at the gate. Six hours total, which gives you time to move without rushing and to actually absorb each stop instead of photographing it from the boat.

Is this one for you?Small groups of 2–8 paddlers suit this trip: large enough that you're not alone, small enough that the guide adjusts the pace and stops to match the group. The calm mangrove section early in the day lets newer paddlers find their rhythm before the open-water cave exploration, so it works for mixed experience levels in the same boat.

Top questions

What's the water like in the mangrove forest and the caves?
The Tung Yee Peng Mangrove Forest has calm, clear water where you can see down into it. The sea caves hold fresh clear water, and the swimming stops between islands happen in emerald-green water that stays shallow enough to stand in.
Do I need kayaking experience to do this?
The trip suits all fitness levels and the guide handles navigation. If you've never paddled before, the calm mangrove section is where you get comfortable with the kayak before moving to the more open water around the islands.
How many people will be in the group?
Groups stay between 2 and 8 paddlers, so it's small enough that the guide can keep track of everyone and adjust the pace if needed.
What happens if I'm not a strong swimmer?
A life jacket is provided and worn throughout the day. The swimming stops are in shallow, clear water where you can stand, and the guide chooses spots based on the group's comfort level.
What's included in the price and what costs extra?
Hotel pickup and drop-off, the guide, kayak equipment, life jacket, lunch, drinking water, fresh fruit, snacks, national park entrance and basic accident insurance are all included. There are no separate fees at the park gate or for the caves.
