The experience
The half-day runs about four hours from hotel pickup to drop-off. A longtail boat takes your group from Tung Yee Peng Pier through the mangrove forests to Monkey Point first, where you'll watch monkeys in their habitat. From there you move to Koh Phee Island, shaped like a skull, where the guide leads you into caves to see stalagmites and stalactites formed inside the rock.
The core of the trip is paddling around Koh Talabeng and into the Talabeng sea cave itself. You can paddle deeper into the cave, swim in the water, or simply float and take in the space. The group pauses for fresh fruit and drinks on the island before heading back. Small group size means you're not packed in with dozens of other kayakers, and the English-speaking guide navigates the route and points out what you're seeing as you go.
Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, so you don't need to arrange transport or find the pier on your own. Life jacket, kayak, drinking water and national park entrance are all provided. The activity suits families with children from age four, solo travelers and couples, though it's not suitable for anyone with spinal injuries, heart conditions or high blood pressure.

What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24h before the start.
What's the difference between the longtail boat ride and the kayaking part?
The longtail boat carries your group through the mangrove forests to Monkey Point and Koh Phee Island so you can explore caves and see wildlife without paddling. Is there time to swim in the sea cave?
Yes. Once inside Talabeng sea cave, you can paddle, swim or simply float and relax. The group also stops for refreshments at Koh Talabeng before returning.
How does hotel pickup work if I'm staying outside Koh Lanta?
Pickup is included from hotels on Koh Lanta itself. If you're staying elsewhere on the island or nearby, confirm your location when booking to check if pickup is available from your accommodation.
