- Longtail boat trip around islands
- Kayak exploration of Talabeng Sea Cave
- Swim and relax on beach
- Visit Mangrove Forest and observe wildlife
- Return transfer to hotel
The experience
The kayak is your transport into two separate ecosystems. You start with hotel pickup at 8 am or 1 pm, then transfer to Tungyeepeng Pier on Lanta's northeast coast, where you board a longtail boat heading to Ko Aung. From there, you paddle by kayak into the Mangrove Forest of Tungyeepeng: a spot for watching wild monkeys, mudskippers and colourful birds in their habitat. The guide speaks English and Thai, so questions about what you're seeing get answered as you float through.
After the mangrove forest, the boat carries you to Talabeng Island, where you kayak into Talabeng Sea Cave. Once you've explored the cave, you can swim and rest on the beach before the return trip. The whole outing runs four hours from pickup to drop-off, with water and seasonal fruit provided, and you wear a life jacket throughout. The tour can shift its order or timing if weather or sea conditions change, and if the operator cancels due to weather, you get a full refund.
