The experience

The van picks you up at your Seoul hotel and drives roughly an hour to Nami Island. Once there, you walk the Metasequoia Lane (a 30-minute tree-lined path that is the island's most photographed stretch), then have free time to explore the Folk Village and Sculpture Park or simply wander the lush grounds. Lunch happens in the afternoon at one of the island's restaurants, where you can order Korean or Western food, and the tour accommodates vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets.

The rail bike at Gangchon Rail Park is optional and takes about an hour to an hour and a half. You pedal a two-seater bike along a former railway line that hugs the Bukhan River, moving through the valley at a pace you control. After the bike ride (or if you skip it), you have free time to shop or sit in the island's cafes before heading back to Seoul.

The air-conditioned van is included, as is a live guide who speaks English or Korean. Children from age 3 are welcome. Nami Island's entry fee and the rail bike experience cost extra and are paid separately. You can arrange the bike when you book or decide on the day.
